  • Tooling is 100% detailed (as necessary) to facilitate the construction of replacement die sections for perishable areas of the tool
  • Spare parts inventory for unique items
  • Hardened tool steel die sections, retainers and back-up plates are used
  • Utilization of wire EDM and CNC equipment for speed, accuracy and repeatability
  • Forming sections are inserted as needed for added flexibility and adjustability in the press
  • We utilize the latest technology in tool steel, including powdered metals and high-speed steels
  • Use of gas springs and nitrogen manifolds as needed
  • Performance tool coatings are used to limit tool wear and increase die performance

At Dove Die and Stamping we double disc grind progressive stamped parts through a 2-step process. The first step is to remove most of the grinding stock. The second step is to finish grind to meet the flatness and surface finish requirements. We currently exceed flatness of 0.02 MM and surface finish tolerances of Ra 0.80 on low carbon hot rolled steel.

Our grinders have the capability of rotary through feed, interpolated feed and oscillating feeds. We grind millions of parts per year and have the knowledge and capability to determine the best process for your high volume parts.
